The safety of our Clients and Staff is our top priority. AKA has a number of new guidelines we will be strictly adhering to:
Before You Come
Consider these questions. If you can answer “yes” to any of them, we thank you for notifying us and rescheduling your appointment.
1. Have you traveled outside of the state or country within the last 14 days?
(specifically the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah)
2. Have you experienced any Covid-19 symptoms (fever, cough, trouble breathing)?
3. Have you had any contact with anyone with a confirmed or suspected exposure to Covid-19 within the past 14 days?
Because of our reduced staff, and to cut down on social distancing breaches we are limiting our shampoo and blow-dry services. If you are not receiving a chemical service, we kindly ask that you arrive to you appointment with freshly cleaned hair.
Cash and Checks
For everyone’s safety and convenience, we are minimizing the handling of cash and checks. Please bring the cash you may need for tips in the proper denominations required. Also, we can no longer accept checks written for amounts exceeding the cost of the amount due. And just as before, tips cannot be added on credit cards.
Masks must be worn in the salon at all times. If you are getting color or are concerned about damaging your favorite mask, please wear a disposable mask to your appointment.
Who is permitted in the salon?
Only clients with a scheduled appointment are permitted in the salon, unless accompanied by a caretaker.
No children (Unless they are receiving services) are permitted in the salon.
No pets are permitted in the salon.
No food or beverages are permitted in the salon at this time.
Once You Arrive
Please remain in your vehicle and call the front desk, or text your stylist to let us know you’ve arrived. We will greet you at the door.
Make sure you are prepared with your mask and we will review your wellness questions before you go to your stylist.
Although we love our early birds, please stay in your car until your appointment time. This will guarantee we have enough time to properly sanitize our stations and equipment.
We are required to limit the amount of guests in the salon. Because of this, only one client per stylist is allowed in the salon at a time.
Other family members, partners, kids ect. must stay in the car until their scheduled appointment time.
To make your visit a positive experience, we need to allow extra time for clients in the chair and between appointments. To control this flow in the early stages of re-opening, your appointments will be made by your stylist rather than at the front desk. Messages left on the salon phone will continue to be answered as quickly as possible.

In order to maintain our superior standard and manage increased operating costs while serving the government-mandated 50% capacity, please note that we will be increasing our service costs by 10% on June 26th.
